On February 24, 2026, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Compliance Association and the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The purpose of the Memorandum is to support the development of a compliance culture and the promotion of ethical conduct principles in the financial and non-financial sectors, promote advanced international practices, and further strengthen compliance with regulatory requirements.



Within the framework of the document, the parties will cooperate in areas such as improving compliance mechanisms, implementing awareness and information initiatives, establishing professional discussion platforms, and facilitating the exchange of knowledge and experience in the relevant field.
The Memorandum also envisages the organization of seminars, training programs, roundtable discussions, and other professional events for specialists working in the field of compliance.
The Memorandum of Understanding is of significant importance in strengthening the institutional foundations of the compliance ecosystem in the country and enhancing the resilience of the financial system.
The Compliance Association has identified cooperation with government institutions and regulatory bodies as a priority direction, continuing to contribute to the development of a compliance culture in the country.
